Art Imitates Life
Believing that it would be insensitive to leave them there, the makers of Microsoft's popular Flight Simulator plan to remove the World Trade Center towers from the Manhattan skyline depicted in the game. Flight Simulator 2002 lets players fly a variety of planes -- including commercial jets like the Boeing 747 -- around metropolitan areas like New York City, Las Vegas and Seattle. Designers agreed Friday that in light of the week's terrible events, the towers should go. What will replace the two landmarks in the new skyline is anybody's guess right now.
