Music to recommend.
Leila - Something
Break me up for little piece of something,
I want to lose my mind,
Won't you please be careful,
Cause there's things I don't wanna find.

Leila is the rare female electronica songwriter that doesn't sing, choosing instead for her album Like Weather to use vocals from friends and even her own sister. Born in Iran, she spent part of her childhood there but was forced to flee to London with her family. She became interested in DJing as well as keyboards, and left college to play with Björk on her first album, 1994's Debut. Leila graduated to sound engineer for the second Björk LP, and began setting up her own home studio. Signed to Rephlex Records for a solo album, she released the single "Don't Fall Asleep" in 1997 and Like Weather the following year. Love Story appeared in 1999. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide

Peace Orchestra - Meister Petz
Stunning number by Peter Kruder, one half of the super Austrian DJ duo, Kruder & Dorfmeister. With a pounding, slowed-down drum'n'bass beat, complete with congas, a slap-happy bass line, and wailing horns, Kruder builds a monster of track that never gets stale. The album cover showed an actual band-aid etched with the word, Peace Orchestra. This music won't heal the world, but it will heal you when you're down.

I'm scouring songs for a future compilation mix CD....maybe. Aloof recommends Amon Tobin Saboteur. It will play very well at Liquid Room. Remember DJ Pollywog from the movie Groove? Well, she's a human robot now, in an interactive experiment. Read more about it.
