The weekend has landed!
All that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties. I got 48hrs off from the world man. I'm gonna blow steam outta my head like a screaming kettle. I'm gonna talk codshit to strangers all night. I'm gonna lose the plot on the dancefloor. The free radicals inside me are freaking man. Tonight I'm Jip Travolta, I'm Peter Popper, I'm going to NeverNever Land with my chosen family man. We're gonna get more spaced out more than Neil Armstrong ever did. Anything could happen tonight you know. This could be the best night of my life. I got 73 quid in my backburner, the milky bars are on me!

A line from the movie Human Traffic. Very entertaining, hilariously funny and crazy movie abt club culture. Steal, beg to borrow this movie if you have not seen it. Or view the trailer here

I went to a haunted house last weekend.
I joined a couple of other cyclists I got to know at a local forum. One of them (he's the oldest, at 32) claimed that he's a safe rider. That is an understatement, coz he got two lights on his handlebars, another two attached to the back of his bike, and a very powerful light (very, very bright almost close to a car headlight) strapped to his helmet. The funny thing is with all his lights turned on, he looked like he's celebrating Chingay. Anyway, since that was my first time joining the group, I just shut the fork up.

Abt the abandoned house. It's located at Hillview Rd, near Bukit Timah area. It's a very big house, halfway renovated, with tools and wooden doors lying around the place. House is four storeys with rooftop (damn nice view of the surrounding area) and there are three levels for the basement. There's a winding driveway before you can get a glimpse of the house.

It looked eerie allright...we were there at abt 1. And it wasn't too eerie coz another group of youngsters went in earlier than us. We joined them after we got into the hosue and the whole lot of us looked just like a bunch of tourists.

After the tour, someone suggested going to the old Changi Hospital on another ride. UUUUUUUUUUUUU....heard a lot of stories abt that place so I think will just stick to plain off-road cycling.

Lighten up, be optimistic...gee, I sound like an old fart. Anyway, I do hope that you have a great time ahead.

Back to work again.
Sigh...I wish I can afford to take even longer leave. I had a great time away from work and colleagues for a while. I'm beginning to like simple pleasures in life. Sun, clouds, wind, all abundant and free. Shopping malls I will try to steer clear from them. Has anyone watched the movie Amelie? An excellent, charming movie. I like it so much that I watched it again a few days later. And how I wish I can be like the heroine in the movie. One day after she found a tin full of memorabilia, she decided to return it to the rightful owner. If the owner is grateful to her, she's thankful. And if not, like she said, that's just too bad. That is a great trait to follow, to give, but never ask anything in return. And I can't believe that the director of this movie, directed Alien Resurrection. Talk about contrast!

So my new motto (not resolution, dun wann give it a bad name) will be: Work and play, hard.
Happy New Year everyone.
