Somebody has changed my outlook in life.
After watching a movie just now, with my bladder just about to burst. I placed a bottle of unfinished orange juice in my bag, and made a quick walk towards the toilet. Walking out from the loo, this nagging feeling crept up, asking me to check that juice bottle. And yes, the bottle was a quarter full. SHIT! I emptied my bag; my MD mixes (I still cant believe all the hard work mixing it is gone!), camera, pencil case, hell, it looked like i'm setting up a stall just outside the loo!

So I went back to the toilet to look for a roll of toilet paper. There was an auntie cleaning it at that time, and I saw a new roll of toilet paper near her pail. So I asked her whether I can take it. She can't talk English, and judging by her expression, she did'nt want me to take the stuff. Feeling irritated and trying t keep my cool, I went inside the cubicle and pull whatever paper I can get hold of.

The auntie was surprised that I took so much, and I explained, using hand gestures that a bottle spilled in my bag. And she scolded me! For not telling her that in the first place. Duh!! Anyway, I left her and quickly attended to the disaster at hand.

Most are my other stuffs are OK, except for all the MDs. As I was drying my stuffs near the toilet, alot of souls passed by. And not even one offered any help. Fine, it's not like I'm bleeding to death. And there's this guy, dressed in executive attire, standing near me, just looked at what I'm doing. Hey pal, the least you could do is just talk to me and maybe offer to talk more toilet paper from the toilet. What a snobbish twat!

Suddenly that auntie came to me again and gave me a new roll of toilet paper. My heart went soft. I'm really touched by her kindness, although she's just a cleaner. I still cannot get over by her kindness. And after cleaning up my mess, she came back again, this time with a mop, to clean up the mess I've made.

I don't know how to thank her (yeah, I did thanked her in Chinese...siehsieh right?)...so I gave her a gentle pat on her shoulder while thanking her. (I wanted to give a hug, but afraid she might mistook the gesture for something else...so)

I'm very lucky to meet her today. I don't think I'll ever get to see or receive kindness from members of public again.

I am excited about my first online purchase.
It's a T-shirt from Threadless. I've already received an email from them stating that my T-shirt has been shipped and so far the experience of buying things online is in one word, easy. I still have a phobia that someone will and can use my number to do illegal stuff, so i think I have to check with the credit card company abt the status of my account.

And I've decided to pursue cycling as my new hobby. I'm looking around and if you guys know any shop worth checking out, pls tell me. Ahhh...cycling brings back memories from my childhood. Can't wait to buy my new set of wheels.

I was on the train today, suffering from a bad back, and quietly wishing that I wanted a good massage.
Trains doors opened at Clementi and I saw a blind man walking down towards the staircase. I offered my help to guide him, and asked him where he's headed to. He's on his way to cut his hair, which I think is short enough, but hey, he's blind right...and what do I know. Along the way, we started chatting, I asked him where he's from; he said from work. Intrigued I asked him what he does for a living. Guess what! He massages for a living!. He specialises in reflexology and body massages. A strange coincidence? I belive so. Anyway we started talking more and yes, he does house visits and he gave me his namecard. Haha...very cool. I shall visit him in the near future.

And today I became a chauffer for a friend driving to Johor to pick up his lady friend and then drive back to Geylang for some Hari Raya shopping. Stumbled upon a stall selling Egyptian stuffs and I found a nice shawl to complete this year's outfit. Yeah....I'm quite happy with my purchase, though I think I will look a bit strange wearing it. But then again, it;s just a nice feeling to be dressed differently from everyone else.

Resident Evil is hitting theaters soon! And Lord of the Rings trailer is simply amazing!

Maybe Singaporeans are ceritified shoppers.
I was at Ikea Saturday afternoon, looking to buy a set of curtains for my room. When I reached there, the lights went off. And instead of panicking, people still mind their own shopping. It goes to show how peaceful this country is.
Nose is doing a bit of exercise (they went running) now. Damn irritating!

I'm happy with the curtains. It is being suspended on a pole, and on the edge of it I chose a holder that looked like police sirens. Kinda cool I think.With my room burning of blueberry gel (from Spotlight) and new music by Kid Loco, Goldie, Nick Cave and Death in Vegas in the background, I am enjoying my solitude again.
