My Mac can be connected using Maxonline!!

Tuesday, May 29, 2001

Yes oh yes!!!
Managed to log on to the net after spending 2 hours fiddling with the manual. Just got SCV MaxOnline and managed to get it running. But only on the PC. Ironic rite? Always thought Macs were much more easier to use. IT still is....only thing maybe there's a conflict with Magix configuration. Am downloading some MP3s now.....it is a bit slow...but what the heck...I got all night. Feels like in the office now....can go online anytime...just power up the com!!

MasterBates, reporting from Sydney, Australia.

How did the word "SPAM" came about?
It all started with an old Monty Phyton skit in which a group of Vikings sing in a chorus of "SPAM, SPAM, SPAM..." at an increasing volumes in an attempt to drown out other conversations. The analogy to modern day spam applied is because unsolicited e-mail is seen as drowning out normal discourse in the internet.

And in Europe, SMS is hugely popular that Britain's Guardian newspaper organised a poetry contest using SMS. Here is one entry.
a text message poem / his eye are bunsen burner blue / his hair like iron fillings / with ac/dc going through / i sit by him in chemistry / it splits my atoms / when he smiles at me.

awwwwwww......reporting to you from London, MasterBates signing off.

it has to be a CDR not CDRW.

a baby moth in ur md screen....??? wow*
by the way i wanna cut my mp3 from work home... ahahah but i can't
seem to get the correct format to cut the cd in... is there a special
format cd i should buy to cut them in?
Not that I know of....but the next time you cut CD at work, paste the postit note more prominently...paste it onto Viva's monitor. The other time you were cutting CD, someone accidentally switched the PC off.
nah that time i stuck the postit on the monitor but not sure whether some moved the sticker off or it dropped... but is okie, it already finished cutting. thanx hot saucy, but i guess i have to forgo my mp3s...

I saw an amazing thinq this afternoon.
What looks like a baby moth, is crawling INSIDE my MD screen! How the heck it got inside, God only knows. Don't wanna think what else is hibernating in my bag.

And I met a fan who's been reading my blog! Hey Gerard, thanks for reading man! Just finished cutting a CD by Paul Oakenfold. Imagine an MP3 that is 1 gig! And I got two of that. Thanks to Serene for downloading it using Napster.

And I saw the new iBook this weekend. It looked like the new titanium powerbook but with a smaller screen and encased in plastic. But damn, it is a beauty.

A fun French site

Why did the dumb blonde's naval hurt?
'Cos she was f**ked by another blonde...
hahaha...a blonded, blinded, blonde.

Suddenly, my chaotic world was restored...well, sort of
I got a new refurbished Visor (a 2nd one!!) after the 1st refurbished one suddenly died. I was so used to having the Visor around that I missed it when it died. And the cd-writer started working again after tweaking the cable. yeah...now can plan to backup all my data and continue with the Rare Pleasures mix. I will take better care of my things in the future.

Thursday is fast approaching....gosh, how time really flies. Must watch Enemy at the gates...no matter what. tried to catch it today but went to the wrong theater instead. so went to great world city where it was showing at 6 pm. was told by the smug ticket seller that the movie is showing at the gold class theater. and tix costs $25!! sheeesh! the only consolation i got was enjoying a cuppa at spinellis. will definitely wake up early tomorrow to watch it.

My life is all over the place
All my bills are still collecting dust on the shelf, the cd writer, at this crucial moment, does'nt seem to respond, I can't upload files to the server, I smoke way too much fags and drink way too much coffee, I'm not surprise if I just burst tomorrow.

I went for an interview last week and today, I received an email from him, asking for my resume and asking me to do a mock HTML page. I dun believe this!! Why did'nt he believe my capabilities? A good point...I should make it a point to market myself better. I dun think I wanna take his offer.....i mean he dun trust me....so why should i trust him.

gosh...its nearly june.....

18 fags, 2 kopitiam iced kopi-o and 1 iced spinellis americano
I wanna count how many cups of coffee I drank and cigarettes I smoked everyday. Statistical purposes. Coke people came for a final review at 7 p.m. sharp. We were at the nearby kopitiam, me sipping hot chrysanthemum tea for a change when we were told that they were here. So we proceed back to the office.

That Darren Marshall guy, hes the head honcho for Coke, keep on saying things like "Cool!!", "I Love it!!", "Awesome", "Lovely", in his American angmoh slang and it sounds a bit porno at times. Anyway, he's glad the site is finally taking shape (to his liking anyway).

But after the meeting, we were bitching about what he and the other pple were saying during the meeting when suddenly he went up to our level and thanking us for a job well done. He promised us to give us crates of coke. He was wearing this red coke t-shirt...kinda of nice, so I said' "Hey...nice shirt" At which he swirled around to show it off and promised to give that as well. Hurray!!

And there's a launch of the site at Zouk...he mentioned that we are invited....so Yani...wanna come?

Surface Tension
10 May - 25 May

The G@llery Evason
76, Robertson Quay

The city notorious for outlawing chewing gum is about to be confronted by a celebration of American and British street culture, which should make for interesting times. One of the city's hippest hotels will be party to spectacular sprayed up pieces by FUTURA2000, Les Quinones and Stash from the US and UK's She-one, sounds by Japanese chill-out DJ Krush.
Extracted from Wallpaper. Hmmmmmm...sounds good. Anyone interested?

Kruder&Dorfmeister has just released a book, titled simply G-Stone recordings. It contains lots of interesting pix, like there's an album cover with them getting blowjobs, and where their thingie and the ladys mouth meet, it is covered by the G-Stone logo. Clever. I thought I paid only for the book, but there's a CD hidden at the back page. Hurrrah.....bought two more new CDs (sin, sin). Yonderboi and a compilation mix by Stephane Pompougnac (dun know who the heck he is). I was like a kid in a candy store picking out the CDs. More so with the helpful staff around. Luckily, I was brought to my senses by my other half. I can't help it....its soooo beautiful......bzzzit...bzzzit.

Are you going Incognito@zouk!?

"Crank it up! You old fool..!" *hehhe*

Tuesday, May 01, 2001

Ahhhhh...it feels great to have money in your pocket.
This month, company can afford to pay full month salary! I hope that this is a sign that Media Arts is bouncing again. And as Marc always says whenever I played music at the office, "Crank it up!!"

So I watched Dancer In The Dark, which is a really great movie. Bjork is a talented and accomplised actress. But too bad we got the front row seats. And the ending is very stark! I would kill the excitement if I disclose it...so watch it for yourself. Then I had a lovely dinner at The House of Sundanese and splurged myself (nothing expensive, but considering the fact that I have not been spending) to magazines!! Wallpaper and i-D magazine. Wallpaper was featuring abt a survey they did abt Switzerland. I have always wanted to live or at least visit this country. And they did a great review. Everything abt Swizerland is here. Chocolate, watches, perfumes, cigarettes, furniture. And get this. Buro Destruct, another fav design house....were featured too.

And I saw an ad for BMW in Wallpaper......its at at their website, they are dong this short films by acclaimed directors. Guy Ritchie, John Frankheimer, Ang Lee.......and the executive producer is David Ficher. I love David Fincher's work!! He did Seven, The Fight Club, and The Game. I have not seen any of the movies yet.....but judging from the homepage...it looks good. They use Flash animations....so can't wait to see if they have conqured new ground here. Till later....more updates abt new music and stuffs.
