Rewind 2000
Thought of watching The Exorcist at 4 am just now, but I backed out coz it was raining accompanied by claps of thunder and lightning. It will really add to the atmosphere of the movie, but nay, I'll pass. I watched Reservoir Dogs instead.

I'll finish with the Rewind 2000. These are the songs which I think are honorary mention. And as always in no particular order.

Erykah Badu with Stephen Marley - In Love With You.
The sweetest love song I've heard so far.

Craig Armstrong - Let's Go Out Tonight
Featuring the vocals of Paul Buchanan, this is the epitome of a male vocalist singing with all out emotion. A sad song, but it puts my life in perspective.

I think I'll stop here. I could go on and on and it will make all the listed songs less special. Here's looking for ward to more great tunes in the year 2001, the real millennium. And talking about millenniums, people are really dumb rite? All the hoohah about Y2k making system analysts look like Merlin and all for nothing. It looks like a big scam with the software corporations raking in the money. I was stopped by Channel News Asia crew in Raffles Place last year asking my opinion abt the Y2k bug. I said, as if I am a general leading an army to victory, "It's nothing. Nothing will happen on 1st Jan 2000. I will still keep all my cash (not a lot really) in the bank."
"Well, er, thank you." The interviewer replied. My speech was sadly edited. Those morons. I could save the world a lot of cash!

Just got an SMS. My friend is a proud father !!! Congrats Azrain! Though if Mary can wait for a while, you two could be famous.
Here's wishing the world a Happy New Year.

can i borrow this from U?.........Talvin Singh - Traveller (Kid Loco Remix)

Rewind 2000
These are the most enjoyable tracks I've listened to this year. Enjoyable meaning it sounds good or better after repeated listening. There are probably loads of other songs which are equally great but unfortunately has not crossed my path. Hope that those songs will be listed in Rewind 2001.

All songs are in no particular favorites order.

Tosca - Suzuki
I loved all the tracks in this album but especially this one, the second track. After this track, every track that follows blend to each other. Very smooooth. A great CD for cruising along the PIE. And because I bought it at Borders for $25 instead of $33 at HMV. And because I paid using vouchers which was given by my girlfriend. Thank you Hot Saucy.

Kruder & Dorfmeister - The K&D Sessions
One of the best albums since Massive Attack Blue Lines. A great CD to pop into the car while cruising to nowhere along the highway late into the night.

Thievery Corporation - Illumination
Punchy bass and beats that makes me wanna do aerobics (man, what a sight that will be!) IF they play this kind of tunes. This one taken from their latest album, The Mirror Conspiracy.

Terranova - Plastic Stress
The coolest thing about Plastic Stress is the juxtaposition sound of race cars and the deep, head nodding bass. Original without electronica written all over it.

Terranova - Midnight Melodic (Chase The Blues)
"Nothing to do today, nothing I want to do, anyway" croons the female singer in Midnight Melodic. Her voice, sad and yearning, and oh so beautiful .

Talvin Singh - Traveller (Kid Loco Remix)
An endearing mix of tabla, violins and Indian vibes. The music and title complement each other. I imagined a loved one, faraway, studying or working abroad and playing this song to him/her.

Brad Mehldau - Exit Music
Brad Mehldau - Songs

There was a period of time, on Sunday nights, I will listen to this two tunes. Both songs makes my coffee tastes even better. Although he is a classically trained pianist, he sports a tattoo. Thanks Alf for the tip.

St Germain - Rose Rouge
“I want you to get together.” a Tracy Chapmansesque voice sings amid jazzy drums and horns. A great song to open an equally great album.

Dusty Springfield - The Look Of Love
This has got to be my perennial favourite. I heard Suzanna Hoffs version’s of this song. It’s nothing compared to the original. Suzanna Hoffs must die for covering Dusty's song. Dusty sings with passion and it shows with every word she coos. A great song to dance and mumble sweet nothings to that special someone.

Dusty Springfield - Spooky
Heard this track from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels movie. It’s a cheery number that will ease and please. I sang this song with great gusto at a karaoke studio, until the owner paid me to shut up and leave. =) Hey it was'nt THAT bad.

Paul Oakenfold - Helicopter Song
A friend coined it. I don't know the name of the track but it can be found on his Travelling album, but the best moment was dancing to it at Zouk while DJ Pipin was hitting the decks.

Dido - My Life
If my religion allows, I will play this at my funeral. Sob sob.

I got some more songs lined up. I just need to rummage through my CD's, which currently is in a sorry state. Till later.

sorry but i'm happy now...i just got a pooooooooh bear for a belated prezzie *heheh* now my cat has got a girlfriend...hahahha im crankyyyy

wow...with so many presents all u need right now is someone to buy you a house.

muahaha... with boys... and he asked u... ahahaha.... u must be flattered... ahahah i can't help laughing!!! *falls off chair*
WHHEEYY!! Enough already!! Should just play along with him. I can spike him with something when I'm in his room. Then got cash to buy a new handphone.

i can tell you were more flattered and shy then disgusted and confused right?! *lol* maybe he was kinda desperate already. rest assured you don't look gay, at least not to me. =] really really really ....uhm ... ( finally get to leave my mark here )

Ahhhh...come on in Ms White. You tried using IE or followed my colleague's advice; restart the com?
And I've decided I will put on a straight face and never smile to anyone whenever I'm in the loo.

it doesn't matter right...you can send a new invite. :p but i did use IE to access the url in the new mail.

Someone proposed to me today. A sexual one. In a toilet!! I was disgusted, confused and flattered at the same time.

I was at the 2nd floor toilet in Centrepoint this afternoon, standing two urinals away from this Indian guy. He's bald, with a bushy moustache and looked like a friendly, nice guy. And he looked like he was out of town. We were both doing our businesses when he turned to me and said,"Are you a Singaporean?" At last somebody who thinks I'm local Malay guy...not from Thailand or Philippines. So I smiled warmly and said yes.

"Do you know some place where I can have sex?" he said matter-of-factly. I tried to be a guy who know everything about town, so confidently I said,"Well, you can go to this place called Geylang." Then the Drop. "With boys." I noticed that he was jiggling his thingie while saying that. It was disgusting. I was trying not to laugh when he said that....just afraid he might attacked me or force himself on me....or piss all over me, after all there's only the two of us there.

So I replied with a curt "No" and proceed to the sink and wash my hands then leave. And laughed once I'm out.

helooo....hmmm...let's see....what abt me loaning to u a motorola startac HP? u cool?

thank you for the offer... I'm still undecided on using a phone. i'll tell you if i need one.
And I still need to check with ST Mobile abt my situation.

I toss. I turn. I smoked. Even read the ingredients on the jar of Skippy's peanut butter, but still I can't sleep. The thought of it is....horrendous. And all because of a stupid phone. Partly.

I think I won't use one for the time being.

masterbates ar masterbates...... i have jus updated myself with ur blog about the lost of ur handphone. what happened? *console* dun worry maybe whoever took ur handphone might jus be a samaritan? cheer up*

thanks ron though i seriously doubt about getting the phone back. unless the next passenger is Nas.

Perhaps the most depressing thing in life is when you lose your mobile phone. It sounds extreme, I know, but if you ever lost yours, I think you'd agree. It's your PERSONAL phone. And when it rings and it means that the incoming call is for you, not Tom nor Dick or Harry. You.

Here's a Happy Hari Raya to me despite the loss of my phone.

Continued reading a book titled A Fortune-Teller Told Me by Tiziano Terzani (he's Italian). Its about his travels and adventures in the Far East (i got my own adventures at far east plaza... :D) he was in hong kong when a fortune teller told him not to fly at all for the year 1993. on dec 31 1992 he made the decison to heed the teller's advice. and that changed his life completely.

some of his writings which i liked is, and i quote " Distances became real again, and i reacquired the taste of discovery and adventure.

Suddenly, no longer able to rush off to an airport, pay by credit card and be swept off in a flash to literally anywhere, i was obliged once again to see the world as a complex network of countries divided by rivers and seas that required crossing and by frontiers that invariably spelt "visa" ........

and this one too..."Nowadays airports have a false allure of advertisements - islands of relative perfection even amid the wrekage of the countries in which they are situated. They all look alike, all speak the same international language, that makes you feel you have come home."

his adventures is slanted more towards beliefs, superstition, customs.

i went once to jogjakarta (hope the spelling is right) and went to this temple called Borubudur. while on the bus i saw a glimpse of the temple..... it looked perfect in shape....it is so symetrical and balance that you wonder how people in those times managed to build it. once we were there, the guide explained that myth has it that demons were summoned to build the temple, overnight. i believed that some external forces build it, not humans. i'm in indonesia...a land wrapped in mystery...and there are some weird stories that happened right at the hotel where we stayed!

it's a great book to read when you're feeling introspective and it made me think about my customs and traditions.

i hope in the near future someone would bump into me on the streets and say...."yes..yes...you. you are the chosen one. master..master." nah!

hey thx fer letting me join ur blog! wow* i am sure having fun with this thing! :)

was jus wondering why the hell are u fucking around with your blog at such weird hours? 2am, 5am, 6am....my! what the hell are u trying to do? dun fall sick eh! and what the... did the fish stank?
no...it looked like one of the dried ikan bilis/anchovies...only paler in color. my room must be haunted by now. kill masterbates..kill..blurp blurp masterbates. i wouldn't wanna imagine it...! hiaks* *Merry belated christmas!* well it is over..... but what the heck! :)

why the hell i'm fuckin' around with my blog at godforsaken hours? because theres no one for me to fuck around with. my fishes is not an option :D

and because i managed to recruit only one disciple so far for the past 27 years, my father decided to denounce me to be a vampire. what is becoming to this world? your own father making you to be a blood sucking freak? bloody hell.

Smoked abt 10 sticks of Marlboros AND 5 sticks of Sampoerna cigarettes. Drank a grande Americano AND a cup of Nescafe.

Maybe my habits ARE self destructive. I feel better now knowing that. Makes me feel complete somehow. I think if you are sharing the same habits as mine you'd understand.

I was cleaning my room this afternnoon when I stumbled on a dead "long kang" fish. Then I remembered that I once spilled the whole lot of them some timeback. I put all the little fishes in a plastic container and leave it at the shelf. Don't ask me how but the damn thing just fell off the shelf onto the floor.

And the fish. The fish. God...what a sight! All of them...must been abt 30, were all over the floor, my keyboard, the monitor....I tried my very best to save them and in the process I stepped on some of them. Feels like stepping a small rubber ball. EEEEuuwwwww.

heheh...followed Masterbate's advise. Checked out the Avantgo website for the "The Sleepover" story. Interesting and detailed, I must say. Anyhow, that's the only channel with the "Mature" kinda story. :)

well, think I'll log off now and get on with the "The Sleepover" thingie!!

Actually I am Lucifer's son sent to this dreaded place you people called Earth. My mission is to lead you people to the path of self destruction; menial compared to my dad's mission but hey, its a start.

Congratulations hot saucy on being my loyal disciple. I hope you practice what you have just read ;D

I think being self destructive is a rite of passage when you are in your twenties.
But I don't consider smoking and drinking coffee one of them.

I tried not to sleep the last few weekends. The most I clocked is abt 26 hours without sleep. Felt really tired after that. (i woke up at abt 3 pm that day). I think its one of the silliest things I did with my body.

I'm off to continue watching Out Of Sight. If I'm still updating this blog at noon today, somebody please call the paramedics. ;D

Just watched disc 1 of Out of Sight. The main music was written by David Holmes. One of my favourites soundtracks. And of course I read more stuffs from the Visor. Nonono...not porno stuffs but two short stories by Jason Pettus. I subscribed to his channel on AvantGo. I wrote to him saying how I enjoyed his articles and he replied back! I read his second mail just now. He's cool.

Anyway, if you got time to spare, read his short stories here.

Katie Lee Likes To Fuck!
The Absolutely True Story Of My Ten-Year High School Reunion

Its hilarious!!

Been out hunting for stuffs to read on my Visor. I never really thought I will find it useful. But it has proved its worth each day. Thanks Yani for the lovely gift. :D

I can't believe that AvantGo has some juicy (read: porno) channels. Out of curiosity :D, I subscribed to the channel. I just read some sexual romp about a guy and two teenage girls titled The Sleepover. Its more like a Jackie Collins novel, less glamorous but more detailed. And the sexual adventure continues tomorrow. And for $5.95 per month...you get pictures!! Technology is great isn't it.

Just hope that my mom won't play around with the Visor. There are some content which are just way too personal. The other day I locked myself in my room to photograph my plastic dildo (for my website), when she knocked on the door. Things could'nt get any close.

Nownownow...dun get me wrong. It's a birthday gift. One of my friends friends who is a mover was in this lady doctor's house when he saw that plastic dick. He took it but dun know how to get rid of it. So this friend, Hamdan, being a cheapskate that he is, took it and gave it for my birthday.
I'm off to read more stuffs.

hunney babey......cooll isn't it, huh?

wowser...a personal journal at last!! Let's see what I can do here.
